The real truth about bug spray plus a non-toxic DIY alternative that actually works!

the real truth about bug spray and an all natural diy alternative using doTERRA essential oils.

As we move into Spring I have been hearing a lot more about bugs and subsequently bug bites.  We all grew up with those brand name bug sprays that kept the bugs away but as I have gotten older I have learned about all the chemicals in them.

Many bug sprays have DEET as their active ingredient.  Did you know that DEET is a neurotoxic chemical that has been shown to cause death of brain neurons when tested on lab rats after frequent and prolonged exposure.  Obviously, DEET isn't something I want to be putting on my skin, even if I don't use it frequently.  Well lucky for us there is a healthier yet still effective option.

The first option is to simply purchase doTERRA's premade bug spray. This 30 mL spray bottle is super convenient and can be thrown in your purse or bag easily.  Just spray on as needed.  It works amazing and doesn't leave a gross residue or odor.  It is only $19.50 if you are a wholesale member.
